Assignment 4__Gina

1. About a month ago, from the news, I saw protest against the plan in establishing Gao-Tai Dam. This is a sign of sustainability because the construction of the dam often destroys the eco-system within the area. For this reason, and because the site is one of the last few undeveloped area in Taiwan, many people protested against the construction company and government.

2. People need to protect places like Great Bear Rainforest so that rare species like Spirit Bear can be protected. Not only that, our planet needs to have enough trees and reserve areas to keep the whole eco-system alive.

3. The groups of people have to work together so that they don’t miss anything and cause conflicts in the future. I think this is an excellent method for decision making.

4. I believe that we should find a way to balance sustainability and economic reform, because the government will not want to give up economic reform.

    3. Yes. Because if only some of them agree the other one might disagree and it obviously won't work out. Also, logging company and the government are going to be selfish to get more money. However, First nation is going to block the logging.
    4. We should be working on environment for the following reasons. First, we already in trouble and in global warming. We should stop it not make it worse. Also, we will never get to see rare animals like spirit bear.
